LINGUINE WITH CLAM SAUCE 
1 (16 oz.) pkg. linguine
2 minced cloves of garlic
1/2 c. butter, melted
2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams, drained
1/2 tsp. dried whole basil
1/2 tsp. dried whole oregano
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped fresh parsley
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Cook linguine in a Dutch oven according to package directions. Drain and return to Dutch oven; set aside. Saute garlic in butter over medium heat; add clams and basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat; stirring constantly for 5 minutes. Pour over hot cooked linguine; add parsley and toss gently. Place on warm platter; top with Parmesan cheese. Yield: 4-6 servings.
