LINGUINE WITH CLAM SAUCE | |
1 (16 oz.) pkg. linguini 2 cloves garlic, minced or 1/4 tsp. dried minced garlic 1/2 c. butter, melted 2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams, drained 1/2 tsp. dried whole basil 1/2 tsp. dried whole oregano 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. chopped fresh chopped parsley 1 c. grated Parmesan or Romano cheese Cook linguini according to package directions to Dutch oven. Drain and return to Dutch oven; set aside. Saute garlic in butter in a medium skillet; add clams and basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes. Pour over hot cooked linguini; add parsley, and toss gently. Place on warm platter and top with cheese. Serves 4 to 6. |
