BOSTON CREAM PIE 
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. unsifted flour (all-purpose)
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk

Mix all dry ingredients together. Beat eggs and add to dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into cake pan and bake at 350 degrees or 35 minutes or until done.

CREAM FILLING:

1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. milk
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients and layer between the cake part.
