CRACKER TOFFEE 
saltine crackers (1 sleeve plus a little extra)
1 cup (2 sticks) butter (do not substitute)
1/2 cup sugar
1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips (preferably milk chocolate)
chopped almonds, for sprinkling

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Line a greased 11x17-inch (or close to it) cookie sheet with saltine crackers. Melt butter and sugar together over medium heat. Heat until dissolved. DO NOT BOIL. Pour over crackers and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.

Note: It should turn a nice golden brown but beware, the edges can get burnt quickly.

Take a fork or spoon and move crackers back in place. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top while still hot and spread. Sprinkle chopped almonds over top and lightly press in.
