CORN FRITTERS 
1 1/3 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. milk
1 tbsp. bacon grease (optional)
1 egg, well beaten
1 1/2 c. whole kernel corn (fresh, frozen or canned - drained)

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and pepper. Blend egg and milk and add gradually to dry ingredients. Add bacon drippings and corn and mix well. Drop by tablespoon into a hot iron skillet with just enough oil to brown. Cooking time 2-5 minutes. Drain on paper towel.
