2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. butter

Mix all ingredients in saucepan. Stir over heat until sugar is dissolved and occasionally afterwards. Boil until brittle when dropped in cold water. Pour onto buttered platter to cool. Mark into squares while still warm.
