1 c. butter
3 c. sugar
1/3 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs
Flour, enough to make pretty stiff dough
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients. Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Bake 8 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
