WHITE CHRISTMAS SALAD 
2 pkg. (3 oz. size) lemon gelatin
2 c. hot water
1 pkg. (8 oz. size) cream cheese, softened
1 qt. vanilla ice cream
1 sm. can crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries, optional

Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Beat softened cream cheese into gelatin until well blended. Mix in softened ice cream. Add pineapple and cherries.

Pour into a 9 x 13 inch pan and sprinkle nuts on top. Refrigerate overnight or until firm. Serve a square on a lettuce leaf. Makes 12 servings. A crushed banana may be added to make a variation.
