HOT CRANBERRY SALAD 
3 c. chopped apples, peeled
2 c. whole, raw cranberries
1 1/2 tsp. bottled lemon juice
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. quick-cooking oatmeal
1 c. chopped nuts
1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1 stick butter, melted

Oil a 2 quart casserole. I use a 11 x 7 inch Pyrex dish. Place the chopped apples and cranberries in the casserole. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Cover with sugar. In a medium mixing bowl, blend just to moisten the oatmeal, walnuts, brown sugar, and melted butter. Pour crumb mixture over fruit. Bake, uncovered, at 320 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. Serves about 6. Good over ice cream too.
