NEW ORLEANS CASSEROLE 
8 oz. egg noodles
1 lb. hamburger
15 oz. can tomato sauce
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can mushrooms, optional
1 med. onion, chopped
1/4 stick butter
12 oz. pkg. grated sharp cheese

Brown onion in butter. Add hamburger and brown; mix in soup, tomato sauce and mushrooms. Let simmer 30 minutes. Add mixture to cooked noodles. Add 3/4 cup cheese. Put in casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes.
