LOW CHOLESTEROL ICE CREAM 
2 tbsp. unflavored gelatin
1 1/2 c. non-fat instant milk powder
3 c. water
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. white corn syrup
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn, peanut, or soybean oil
2/3 c. crushed peppermint candy

Soften gelatin in 1 cup of the water; add sugar. Heat to a boiling point. Mix milk powder in remaining water; beat in the oil, syrup, and gelatin mixture with electric beater. Stir in the crushed candy or use other flavoring; add vanilla and salt. Freeze until partly frozen, then rebeat and freeze until firm.
