BOLOGNA SANDWICH
Buy some ham or bologna (one pack) and some bread (one loaf) and buy a little jar of mustard. Then you make yourself a bologna sandwich. Put the bread down on the table, put the bologna on it. Spread the mustard on the bologna. Put another piece of bread on the bologna, then eat it with some milk. Then clean up.

For the more advanced chefs, please try adding doritos for added 'crunch'

Yummy. I'm gonna have one right now. I'm trying to lose weight, so I'm using light beef bologna, light wheat bread and as you suggested, mustard instead of mayo.

They all sound great - but little kids think this is the best. No bread at all - just a piece of bologna & cheese rolled together. Great for their lunchboxes. Guess you could spread a bit of mustard between the bologna & cheese before rolling if the kids like mustard - mine liked them plain. Enjoy!!

Freshly sliced ring bologna. The kind when sliced leaves a thin smear of fat on the bologna. Thick slice of yellow American cheese. White bread, mayo and a big slice of vine-ripened tomato. It's a Southern thang.

Hold on I'm confused. Do you by the bread first, or the mustard? How much bologna? Can I use the counter instead of the table?

You have to try it with mayo (any brand) and put the bologna on the mayoed bread, put thick layer of shredded cheddar cheese then layer of doritos then top with the other slice of bread. Press down hard to break up the chips and then cut in half and enjoy.

I lived on these wonderful sandwiches to the ripe age of 30. Then my heart gave out. But life is good with a heart full of poetry, bologna and mayonnaise. If you skip the caviar, vodka and adultery, you can even enjoy these sandwiches until 40. These are so good I wish had. Sorry, Laura. BTW, make with black bread, not white. MMMMMM.

My mom made these when I was a kid. The simple version was ok. At school we would soup them up by adding potato chips. Warning to Moms: Don't add peanut butter and pickles to this recipe as your kids will throw them out and beg from the hot lunch kids.

A pleasant and satisfying variation is from my childhood, White bread spread with crunchy peanut butter, Charles chips plain chips in one even layer, bologna slice, sprinkle with Lawry's seasoning salt, then bread slice, smash down with a book till it is about 1/4-inch thick, cut in half, enjoy!
