BOLOGNA SANDWICH
Buy some ham or bologna (one pack) and some bread (one loaf) and buy a little jar of mustard. Then you make yourself a bologna sandwich. Put the bread down on the table, put the bologna on it. Spread the mustard on the bologna. Put another piece of bread on the bologna, then eat it with some milk. Then clean up.

My best bologna sandwich, place bologna on slice of your favorite bread. Spread peanut-butter on the second slice of bread, then on the peanut butter, spread on some mayonnaise, then on top of mayo, spread a little grape jelly on. Add a few slices of banana. Now on top of the bologna, add two or three slices of fried bacon. Slap it all together and you're tasted a bit of heaven.

This is the funniest recipe...EVER! However, my sister has a variation called the "pregnant" sandwich...2 slices of bread, 2 slices of fried bologna, a scrambled egg, a slice of Kraft cheese and mustard. When she started eating these, the family KNEW she was pregnant!

Unbelievable... I thought I was alone... My favorite is the morning sandwich... toast two bread slices.. alternate crust removal for fun. Microwave 1-2 thin slices (number One Boars Head Garlic Bologna for 30 seconds and then again, between two paper plates or covered with paper towel due to mushroom effect. All bologna lovers know when cooking this meat it forms an umbrella and has to be pressed back down... whilst cooking 2 pieces of thin bacon and a medium over easy egg. Here comes the fun, apply butter versus whipped cream cheese, bacon divided evenly on both lightly browned/ not dark toast, bologna on each slice, One thinly sliced tomato on left, 2 dashes of Pepper. On right add egg (poke yolk first then apply yolk side down on bologna). Lastly... apply left side to right, and with gentle press, cut diagonally then share with your mother.

Be sure to add sea salt, cracked black pepper, mustard, ketchup, mayo, pickles, onions, relish, sweet and sour, bbq, whip cream on top, toast one slice of bread in the toaster, the other freeze it in the freezer, and the meat a little in between.

Condiment on the bologna is indeed the key, however one must take out a second mortgage for Oscar Meyer bologna in Seattle these days, and the rest just do not cut the mustard so to speak.

HERE"S A GOOD SIMPLE BEVERAGE RECIPE TO GO WITH YOUR BOLOGNA SANDWICH:

1. Take a clean, empty drinking glass. Hold it open side up directly under a water faucet. Open the faucet to dispense cold or cool water into the glass. When the glass is about 3/4 full, turn the faucet off.

CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE JUST MADE THE PERFECT BEVERAGE TO GO WITH YOUR BOLOGNA SANDWICH.

This thread is great fun...I lived in the States since I was 11 y.o., and we never had a "family recipe"...so I'm "re-living" everyone's childhood memories..and I'm grateful to all of you for sharing. A "joke recipe" brought forth something "wholesome", rare in commentaries today...As a "baloney" late bloomer, I've got some catching up to do...(but thank God, Whole Foods carry organic "bolo")...But for the life of me I cannot imagine a P.B & Bolo combo...I'm also curious if folks who eat bolo w/jam are "Monte Cristo" afficionados. (and do they call it that b/c you'll , literally, die after consuming it?)...thanks again...

This gave me the biggest laugh I've had in a while. Someone said to grind bologna with pickles and mayo. The best way to do this is to get Kogels ring bologna (only available in mid Michigan) Jar of sweet gherkins (small sweet pickles) one large onion and a slice of bread. First grind bologna then pickles then onion and clean grinder of all goodies with slice of bread. Mix all well in a bowl and add Miracle whip to taste or consistency. Spread on Spatz bread (only from Saginaw mi) Enjoy with Made Rite (made in Michigan) chips and Michigan dip (cream cheese, milk and grated onion and dash of salt). The very best!!!!!!!!!!!!
