OYSTER CHOWDER 
1 sliced carrot
1 stalk celery, sliced
3 chopped green onions
1 lg. potato, sliced
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 tsp. parsley flakes
Salt & pepper
1 pt. oysters
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. cornstarch
4 tbsp. dry milk or 1/2 can canned milk or 1 c. whole milk

Combine vegetables and seasonings. Cover with water and simmer until tender. Cook oysters in butter for about 5 minutes. Add cooked vegetables with water, milk and cornstarch. Simmer together until thickened.
