MAYONNAISE CAKE | |
2 c. cake flour 1 c. sugar 5 tbsp. cocoa 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 c. mayonnaise 1 c. hot water 1 tsp. vanilla Preheat oven to 375°F. Sift dry ingredients together. Gradually add mayonnaise, hot water and vanilla. Beat well. Line a 9x13-inch pan with wax paper. Pour batter into pan. Bake in oven for about 25 minutes. Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting. Cream Cheese Frosting: 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 3 tbsp. milk 2 c. confectioners' sugar (approx) 1 tsp. vanilla Soften cream cheese with milk. Add enough confectioners' sugar to make a spreadable icing. Add vanilla. Spread on cooled cake. Submitted by: Colleen Haley |
