PECAN TURTLES 
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. maple extract
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Large pecans
1 egg white, unbeaten

Cream butter. Add sugar. Beat in egg and extracts. Blend in sifted dry ingredients. Chill overnight. Place clusters of 3 pecans on greased cookie sheet. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Dip one side of ball into egg white place on cluster of pecans. Flatten slightly. Bake at 350 degrees about 12 minutes. Frost with chocolate frosting.
