MICROWAVE RICE CASSEROLE 
1 stick butter
1 chopped onion
1 can onion soup
1 can water
1 lg. can mushrooms (save liquid)
1 c. grain rice (not instant)

Saute rice in butter. Place in 2 quart casserole. Add onion soup, water and can of mushroom with liquid. Sprinkle rice over mixture. Do Not Mix. Cover and microwave on high for 40 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
