1 box German chocolate or devils food cake mix
1 pkg. Kraft caramels
1 c. chocolate chips (I use milk chocolate chips)
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. canned milk
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Mix cake mix as directed on box. Pour 1/2 batter in 13 x 9 inch cake pan. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt butter and Kraft caramels in canned milk. Pour over baked cake. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over this. Then pour remaining cake mix over and bake 20 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees. (Do not remove from pan as caramel mixture will run out.)
