PERSIMMON COOKIES 
1 c. persimmon pulp (2 persimmons)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. raisins (boil in water to soften, drain)
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts

Mix together persimmons and soda. Set aside for 15 minutes. Mix all ingredients into 1 large mixing bowl. Drop by teaspoonful onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Serves 3 dozen.
