SLOPPY BURGERS | |
1 1/2 to 2 lbs. ground venison 1 med. onion, diced or 2 tbsp. minced dry onion 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce 1/2 to 3/4 c. water 1 tbsp. oil 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 1/2 tsp. sugar 2 tbsp. vinegar 1 pkg. hamburger buns Brown meat in oil in skillet. Add onions; cook slightly. Add remaining ingredients. Stir to blend. Cover; simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Add more water if needed. Serve on warm, buttered buns. NOTE: Elk or similar game may replace venison. Serves 4-6. |
