CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. sour milk
1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. + 1 heaping tbsp. flour
2 or 3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
Vanilla
Pinch salt

Mix sugar, shortening, egg together and flour, cocoa, soda. Mix half liquid and half dry ingredients alternately until all mixed together. Put papers in cupcake pans. Add batter and bake at 375 degrees until done.

FROSTING:

1 can Eagle Brand milk
2 squares chocolate
Vanilla
Salt

Cook on top of stove until it is thick. After it is cooked add 2 tablespoons water. Frost cupcakes when cooled.
