CHERRY CHEESE TORTE 
1 yellow cake mix

FILLING:

11 oz. cream cheese
1 (22 oz.) can cherry pie filling
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. milk

Using 8 inch or 9 inch round pans, bake cake as directed. Cool.

Soften cream cheese. Add sugar, nutmeg, and milk. Beat until smooth. Split each layer into two thin layers. Spread 1/2 cup cream cheese mixture and 1/2 cup cherry pie filling between each layer and on top of cake. Store cake in refrigerator.
