CABBAGE BURGER BAKE 
1 sm. head of cabbage (8 c. shredded)
6 slices bacon
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1 c. uncooked rice
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 can (15 oz.) spaghetti sauce
3 c. hot water

Spread half of cabbage in a greased 9 by 13 inch baking dish. Saute bacon just until fat starts to cookout. Remove and drain on paper towel. Stir onions and rice into drippings. Cook stirring constantly until onion is soft and rice is slightly brown. Spoon over cabbage. Brown meat, spoon over rice mixture, sprinkle salt and pepper; top with remaining cabbage. Heat spaghetti sauce with water bring to boil. Pour over cabbage, let sauce flow to bottom. Top with bacon slices. Cover, bake 400 degrees for 50 minutes. Uncover bake 10 minutes longer to crisp bacon.
