BANANA NUT BREAD 
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
1 c. ripe bananas
3/4 c. sour milk (reg. milk plus 2 tbsp. vinegar)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. black walnuts

Cream shortening, add sugar gradually. Add eggs and bananas. Alternate the dry ingredients with liquid. Add nuts. Pour into greased loaf pans or greased tin cans for small round loaves. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
