APPLESAUCE MEATBALLS | |
1 lb. ground meat 1 med. onion, grated 1/4 c. saltine cracker crumbs 1/2 c. applesauce 1 can tomato soup Season to taste (thyme, parsley, sweet basil, marjoram, garlic powder, salt and pepper) Mix all ingredients. Make balls about size of golf balls. Brown in lightly oiled iron skillet on both sides. Use medium heat. Pour excess grease off. Heat 1 can tomato soup and 1 can water to medium temperature. Add to meatballs. Bake covered at 325 degrees for 35-40 minutes. |
