1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour

Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Blend in flour. Drop from spoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with sugared glass. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Freeze for emergencies.
