RICH BUTTER SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 stick butter
1 stick butter
2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 c. salad oil
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
5 1/2 c. sifted flour

Cream the sugars with the butter and butter until light and fluffy. Add the beaten eggs and flavors. Stir in the oil, add the dry ingredients and blend well. Refrigerate until chilled through, then form into balls. Dip in sugar and place on cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass. Bake in 350 degree oven until lightly brown.
