NO KNEAD REFRIGERATOR ROLLS | |
2 pkgs. dry yeast 2 c. warm water 1/2 c. sugar 2 tsp. salt 6 1/2 to 7 c. flour 1 egg 1/4 c. shortening Dissolve yeast in water in mixing bowl, add sugar, salt and 1/2 of flour. Beat thoroughly for 2 minutes. Add egg and shortening. Gradually beat in remaining flour until smooth. Cover with damp cloth, refrigerate, punching down occasionally as dough rises. About 2 hours. Before baking, shape dough into rolls. Let rise until doubled in size. Bake in 400 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 4 dozen rolls. |
