MASTER BISCUIT MIX 
9 c. all purpose flour
1/3 c. baking powder
1 tbsp. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
4 tbsp. sugar
1 c. non-fat dry milk
2 c. Crisco

Sift together all dry ingredients 3 times. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Store in covered container at room temperature.

GRIDDLE CAKES OR WAFFLES:

3 c. Master Biscuit Mix
1 1/2 c. water
1 well beaten egg

Mix until blended. Pour batter onto hot griddle and enjoy.

BISCUITS:

3 c. Master Biscuit Mix piled lightly in c. and leveled off
2/3 to 1 c. water

Mix until well blended. Knead 10 times. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
