BISCUIT MIX | |
8 c. self-rising flour, sifted 1 c. shortening Sift flour into a large mixing bowl. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Store at room temperature in air tight container. Mix will keep up to 4 months. To use, mix 1/3 cup milk to 1 cup mix. Roll on floured surface; cut out biscuits. Place on greased pan. Bake at 400 to 450 degrees until brown. |
