2 lbs. ground chuck or round
2 eggs (beaten)
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
3/4 c. ketchup
1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
1/2 c. warm water
1 pkg. onion soup mix
2 strips bacon
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce

Mix all ingredients well. Place in loaf pan and cover with 2 strips of bacon. Pour tomato sauce over all. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. I put ketchup on top instead of the tomato sauce.
