2 c. sugar 1 can (5 oz.) Pet evaporated milk 12 lg. marshmallows 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. butter 1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 c. nuts, optional 1 tsp. vanilla In a heavy 2 quart saucepan, combine sugar, milk, marshmallows and salt. Heat over medium heat until bubbly all over. Continue boiling and stirring for 5 minutes more. Remove from heat and stir in butter, chocolate chips, nuts and vanilla until chips are completely melted. Spread in a buttered 8 inch square pan. Refrigerate until hardened. |
