PEAR NUT PUDDING 
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. butter flavoring
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. water
4 c. pears, diced
1 c. nuts (optional)
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix well and bake in a 9 x 12 x 2 inch baking dish. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serve hot or cold with:

RUM SAUCE:

1 c. water
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. butter flavoring
2 tsp. rum flavoring
1/3 tsp. salt

Bring water and butter to a boil. Add other ingredients to let boil until mixture bubbles and thickens. Serve over pudding.
