CHERRY FRENCH TORTE 
1 c. butter, melt
1 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. fine walnuts
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
10 oz. Cool Whip, thaw
2 cans pie filling, cherry, peach, pineapple or blueberry

Mix butter, flour, brown sugar and nuts. Spread in oblong cake pan. Bake 400 degree oven 15 minutes. Crumble and press lightly in place and cool.

Blend together cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla. Fold in Cool Whip then spread over crust. Top with desired pie filling. Can do two different flavors - one on each end. Cut into squares to serve.
