CHICKEN OR BEEF POT PIE CRUST | |
Make your favorite pot pie recipe. Pour in 1 1/2 quart casserole hot. Cover with pastry. Put small glass in middle of casserole to support pastry and to catch superfluous gravy from boiling over in oven. RECIPE: 1 1/2 c. flour 1/2 stick butter 1/4 c. Crisco 1 sm. egg, beaten (save 1 tbsp. to paint top) 1 1/2 tsp. white vinegar 2 tbsp. water Cut steam holes. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes. Paint top with reserved egg, bake until brown. |
