3-4 lbs. new potatoes 1/2 c. bacon drippings, or meat drippings, or butter 5-6 tbsp. mustard seed 5-6 tbsp. Dijon mustard Salt & pepper to taste Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Scrape your potatoes. Heat the drippings in a 13"x9" pan, or a roasting pan, add potatoes. Put into the oven and cook, uncovered for about 1 hour until browned all over. Turn potatoes every 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, sprinkle the mustard seed over all the potatoes, return to the oven for about 5 to 10 minutes. Add the Dijon mustard and toss lightly. Salt and pepper to taste. Goes very well with roast beef. |
