FARMER'S PIE 
1/2 c. tomato sauce
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green peppers
1/8 tsp. oregano
1/8 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. bread crumbs

Mix 1/2 cup tomato sauce, ground beef, onion, peppers, seasonings and bread crumbs well and pat into 9-inch pie plate. Make 1-inch flutings around edge.

FILLING:

1 1/2 c. instant rice
1 1/2 c. tomato sauce
1 c. grated cheese
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine rice, tomato sauce, water, salt and half of cheese. Place rice mixture in meat shell. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake uncovered 15 to 25 minutes.
