1 c. light Karo syrup 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. butter 1 1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter 6 c. Special K cereal 1 c. chocolate chips 1 c. butterscotch chips Place Karo, sugar, and butter in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter until smooth and then stir in cereal. Press mixture into a buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Using a folded piece of waxed paper, press mixture firmly into pan. Melt chips over low heat. Spread on top of cereal mixture. Refrigerate only until top is firm. Cut into small bars. These freeze well. |
