NANAIMO BARS 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. sugar
5 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Place all 5 in large bowl in pan or sink of boiling water. Stir well until mixed. Add: 1 c. coconut 1/2 c. walnut meats, coarsely chopped

Mix well and pack into 8 or 9-inch square pan. Bake 10-15 minutes until set at 350 degrees. Cool.

Cream 1/4 cup butter. Add 2 tablespoons instant vanilla pudding to 3 tablespoons milk. Mix and add to butter. Blend in 2 cups powdered sugar, mix well and spread over first mixture in pan. Let stand until harden, about 15 minutes.

Melt 4 squares unsweetened chocolate with 1 tablespoon butter. Spread over top. Chill, but DO NOT refrigerate as chocolate will discolor.
