NANAIMO BARS 
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts
4 to 5 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla

In saucepan soften butter, add sugar, vanilla, cocoa and egg. Cook over low heat until mixture resembles custard. Combine coconut, nuts, and crumbs, add chocolate mixture to it. Mix and pack in 11 x 7 x 2 inch pan.

FILLING:

1/4 c. butter
2 tbsp. vanilla instant pudding
3 tbsp. milk
2 c. powdered sugar

Make filling mix as for frosting spread on base.

TOPPING:

4 sq. semi sweet chocolate
1 tbsp. butter

Melt chocolate, add butter and blend well. Spread quickly over filling. Store in refrigerator.
