OLD FASHIONED BREAD PUDDING 
4 slices buttered toast (toasted in oven)
1/2 c. seedless raisins
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. boiling water
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 slightly beaten eggs
1 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cut toast into squares and put into a greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish, sprinkle raisins over toast, pour over the toast a mixture made of eggs, sugar, milk, boiling water, salt and vanilla. Let stand 10 minutes. Then sprinkle with a mixture of 4 tablespoons sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.

This mixture can be altered to suit your taste. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
