QUICK BUTTERMILK ROLLS 
1/4 c. warm water
1 pkg. dry yeast
3/4 c. lukewarm buttermilk
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. soft shortening
2 1/3 c. flour

In mixing bowl dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in rest of ingredients except half of flour. Add rest of flour as needed while kneading until smooth. Shape into crescents or any other shape, may be rolled out and made into cinnamon rolls. Place in well greased baking pan. Let rise until double, bake until brown at 375 degrees.
