1 1/2 c. sifted flour 1/2 c. baking cocoa 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 2/3 c. butter or regular butter 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped walnuts Sifted confectioner's sugar Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream together butter and sugar in bowl until light and fluffy, using electric mixer at medium speed. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients, stirring well after each addition. Stir in walnuts. Spread in 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake in 350 degree oven 30 minutes or until done. Cool pan on rack. Dust with confectioner's sugar. Cut into 2 inch squares. Makes 24. |
