ITALIAN MEATLOAF | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs or oatmeal 8 oz. tomato sauce, divided 1 tsp. oregano, divided 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese 2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese 1 egg 1/8 tsp. pepper Mix together beef, crumbs, half of tomato sauce, egg, 1/2 teaspoon oregano, salt, and pepper. On wax paper, pat into rectangle 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle with Mozzarella. Roll and pinch edges shut. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Heat remaining sauce and seasoning. Spread over loaf and sprinkle top with Mozzarella and Parmesan. |
