CANDY CANES 
1 c. soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
2 1/4 c. flour
Red and yellow food coloring

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until light. Stir in flour and salt. Divide in half. Color one half with 1/4 teaspoon red and 7 drops yellow. Leave other half uncolored. Chill. Roll in pencil shape. Form each in a cane shape and bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes.
