CHIPPER OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. old fashioned or quick oats, uncooked
6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined flour, soda and salt; mix well. Stir in oats, chocolate pieces and nuts. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: approximately 5 dozen.
