INDIAN CORN STEW | |
2 med. onions, chopped fine 1/2 green pepper, chopped fine 2 tbsp. butter 1 lb. ground beef 1 (No. 2) can whole kernel corn (2 c.) 1 med. can tomatoes 2 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. flour blended with 2 tbsp. cold water 1 can cream tomato soup Cook onion and green pepper in frying pan with butter for 5 minutes. Add meat and allow to brown well, stirring frequently. Add corn, soup, sugar and salt. Simmer for about 15 minutes, stir in blended flour and water, cook for a few minutes and then serve. This is a very delightful luncheon or supper recipe. Serve together with a mixed fruit or vegetable salad. |
