SPAGHETTI WITH MEAT SAUCE 
1/4 c. Crisco
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. garlic salt
4 oz. can mushrooms, undrained
1/4 c. chopped parsley or 2 tbsp. flakes
2 c. tomatoes
1 c. tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
Dash basil
Bay leaf
1/2 lb. spaghetti

In a large skillet, melt Crisco. Add onion and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in ground beef and garlic salt. Brown. Add mushrooms, parsley, tomato sauce, salt, oregano, pepper, basil and bay leaf. Mix good. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Uncover and cook for about 1/2 hour longer or until sauce is desired consistency. Cook spaghetti as directed on box. Drain. Spoon meat sauce over spaghetti.
