CHEESE CASSEROLE | |
8 slices trimmed, cubed white bread 10 oz. cheddar cheese, cubed 4 oz. Mozzarella cheese, cubed 1 stick butter 4 eggs, beaten 1 pt. half & half 1/2 to 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 tbsp. dried whole dill weed 1 med. onion, chopped 4 drops Tabasco sauce Melt butter, add bread cubes and toss until coated. Mix the remaining ingredients together and add the buttered bread cubes to the mixture. Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole. Chill at least 3 hours or overnight. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Good as an appetizer cut into small squares or as a luncheon entree. (From Annemarie's Mom, Martha Hirning.) |
