HAZEL HILL POTATOES 
12 to 14 oval potatoes
3 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. salt
2 to 3 tbsp. fine white bread crumbs
4 to 5 tbsp. grated cheese (cheddar, Jack)

Peel potatoes; cut into thin slices, but NOT ALL THE WAY THROUGH. Gently pull apart. Place in oven-proof dish. Brush generously with melted butter. Cover with foil and bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes. Test.

When almost done, uncover, brush with more melted butter and sprinkle with salt, bread crumbs and cheese. Bake, uncovered, until well done. Excellent with roast beef!
